The first book to be devoted to Mary's paintings, "Drawn to Southwold" covers the full spectrum of her portfolio. While scenes of Southwold and of children at play are well represented, the collection is by no means one-dimensional. As well as the land-, sea- and townscapes of familiar places either side of the River Blyth, this book showcases Mary's much-loved figurative work and demonstrates her willingness to experiment both with technique and subject.
This hardback book is written by Norfolk based Alan Marshall, published in Norfolk by Mascot Media Ltd and printed in Norwich. The book extends to 132 pages and includes in excess of 170 full colour images of Mary's work.
"Drawn to Southwold" is priced at £25 and is available directly from Mary (use contact section). Post and packing, if needed, is £2.50 per copy. It can also be obtained from a selection of good bookshops in the local area, as well as in Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge, and from Mascot Media Ltd.
To complement her book, six new limited edition prints have been produced of work featured in "Drawn to Southwold". These are priced at £75 and £65 framed (£50 and £45 unframed) and can be seen in the prints section.
